Depending on the number of employees in your company, you may choose to
either publish your employee handbook at a copy shop or publish it online. If
you already have a went site available to you for your company, and the
knowledge to put your employee handbook online, that is the obvious best choice
due to the ability to keep the information current. Another reason to publish
online is to reduce cost of production.
But there will be employees who will not benefit from the employee handbook
if it is only on the computer. They may not have a computer, or may not be computer
literate. In that case, a hard copy could be given to this kind of employee.
In any event, the employee handbook will need to be distributed to do any
good. Choose the method which seems best for your situation. Then as the times
change, you may change the way you produce the employee handbook.
