General Knowledge - Practical Electrical Questions

Home    Practice Exams   Electrical Safety   Electrical Theory   Electrical Career Info   Electrician Beginner Info

ElectricianEducation.com presents a general knowledge practical question bank of over 1000 questions to be used by electricians. These questions can be described as closed book questions. This means an electrician should know the answer to these questions with out need for reference.

This  assortment of practical, theory and code questions will challenge and inform any electrician. The use of the material is beneficial to a person who is preparing to take and pass a Journeyman, Master Electrician, or electrical inspector License Examination. Questions are based on theory, electrical material, electrical equipment, installation techniques, fastening systems, testing instruments, tricks-of-the-trade, wiring methods, NEC® requirements, and job safety.

The purpose of these questions is to give an electrician the opportunity to review what may be seen on an electrical license examination. Topics selected are based on what electricians have encountered on previous examinations. An occasional calculation type question may be found on the examination. So keep a calculator handy for these questions.

The best preparation for any practical examination is comprehensive reading coupled with varied work experience. Other more experienced electricians are a great resource for background. Quiz fellow workers when you find a question you can not resolve through reading.

Other references needed when using this workbook include the  2005 NEC®, The American Electrician's Handbook®, a scientific calculator like a Texas Instruments TI-30Xa, and any electrical theory text book. Since most examinations have  questions of this type, the collection in this workbook is the equivalent to many different tests. These questions are considered general knowledge.

What you get are 1000 questions with answers printed on 8 1/2 x 11 inch three hole punched paper ready for a three ring binder which is not provided. The cost is $20 postpaid to any USA address.
