100th anniversary of Tesla's experiments at Colorado Springs

From June 30th, 1899 to January 7th, 1900 Tesla stayed at Colorado
Springs and on the height of some 2000 m above sea level studied the
effects of high-frequency currents on the global scale. His discoveries
were very interesting, e.g. that the Earth as a planet behaves as a
gigantic condenser and possesses its own electro-magnetic field in the
form of stationary waves. Here he also improved his invention known as
Tesla Coil or the coreless Tesla transformer. In addition to selected
photographs and documents several interactive Tesla transformers and
some computerized animations are displayed.
